alphinaud is alisaie's twin brother, her other half and, after the passing of her beloved grandsire, her closest family member. despite their jarring physical similarities, they are very, very different people; this has caused discord between them in the past, but they have come together in recent years. for all their bickering, alisaie loves him fiercely, and would give her life for his without a second thought - but she'll still bully him right into orbit.

when alisaie first arrived here, all alone and struggling to come to terms with the loss of her world - from the first, prompto was there, lifting her spirits with his kind heart and easy smiles. they've been through much together, side by side, his gentleness and warmth seeing her through struggles that might have otherwise crippled her. she loves him fully, completely, and will stop at nothing to keep him safe, to preserve the incredible kindness that makes him so special, and to remind him of his worth when he loses his path. she needs him, to keep her heart soft, to remind her to slow down, and not lose sight of what is most important.

x'rhun was her teacher and mentor, passing to her his knowledge of the rapier, and of red magic, but he has since become much, much more to her. while no one could ever replace her grandsire, x'rhun has come the closest to filling that void in her heart with his stalwart strength and unswerving loyalty. she has come to depend on him more than she would like, but this too has helped her to understand that there is no shame in leaning on others, when you need to. he has looked after her from the first moment he arrived, and without his wisdom, guidance, and loving corrections she would not be who she is today.

though she has known krile for a very long time, they were not particularly close when she was young - due mostly to the fact that alisaie was far more reticent and less forthcoming in her earlier years. but they are fellow scions now, and here in this world where hydaelyn is no more, krile is a steadfast ally and caring friend, despite her needling exterior.

like prompto, lena was one of her very first friends on el nysa, and so she remains. her bubbly personality and kindness are extraordinary, and there are few people who can get a laugh out of alisaie as easily as lena can - even if she can be a bit reckless. but then, alisaie has no room judging anyone for being hasty.

ardyn is, in few words, a tragic disappointment. she was mildly fond of his strangeness and particular.. zeal, but close as she is with prompto, she is well aware of ardyn's true nature. a shame, they could have been good friends, were he not an unforgivable monster. still, for the sake of keeping the peace - and for x'rhun's fondness for him - alisaie keeps remarkably restrained around him. it helps that ardyn has more or less been on his best behavior.

keaton is really something else. at first, alisaie wasn't entirely sure what to make of him, but his puppy-dog demeanor won her over pretty easily. what's not to like about a humanoid puppy dog? not to mention, he's handy in a fight, and beneath the boisterousness (and grossness) he is kindhearted and loyal. she is absolutely, disgustingly fond of him.

diana is absolutely someone that alisaie would love to get to know better. there's no mistaking that in many ways they are kindred souls, and while diana is far more restrained and level-headed than alisaie, they can bond easily over all things bookish and nerdy. she's an honorary sharlayan.

it's impossible not to like this man. alisaie is hopelessly drawn to his grandfatherly demeanor, and though she doesn't get the opportunity to talk with him often, it is always warm and enjoyable. also, they killed a morbol once, and that was pretty great.

he quite literally saved her life. they met under chaotic circumstances, and alisaie was not exactly proud of the weakness she felt she had shown, but had jim not shown up when he did who knows what might have happened - like as not she would have been swallowed up by the flames, and the precious antidotes she carried burned up with her. she owes him much, but thankfully his easy smile and laid back demeanor make it very easy to make friends with him.
