You want the fire to be able to breathe, stacking a lot of heavy wood will smother it before it can catch. Work on lighting the smaller twigs first, and once it grows, the larger logs will catch. I do not suppose you have flint?

But with all the experience they had camping, helping with the fire was inevitable. Even if he forgot to throw on the kindling, at least the log tepee he made is pretty impressive??

[ Prompto reaches into a bag sitting on the ground near the log, pulling out some graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallow, the essential ingredients for the perfect s'more. He snags a few long sticks as well, holding out one for her to take. ]
[ ah okay this is speaking her language. she knows campfire stuff, and toasting marshmallows! the moment he hands her a stick she cracks the end off to make a sharp edge, leaning forward eagerly. ]
Where are they?
[ she'll just start digging in the bag with him.. ]
[ Look at her go, impaling that marshmallow without a second thought. Prompto follows suit, smiling fondly as he skewers his own marshmallow, holding it above the fire just so, turning it slowly in his hands. Gotta keep it melting evenly inside! ]
Mm, not when I was young, but I have been on the road for quite awhile now.
[ sometimes camping, sometimes staying in inns, but working with the scions has seen her traveling more than she ever could have imagined. it's been.. wonderful, amazing, to see so much of the world that she had never thought she would see. ]
I enjoy it. Being under the open sky, feels.. liberating.
Heh, right...I know what you mean. I never was really into the whole...great outdoors thing? But if I'm bein' honest...I miss spending nights out underneath the stars like this.

Guess I could see the appeal...except for when you run out of toilet paper and have to hit the open road just to find a new roll. And, like, forget borrowing a cup of sugar from your neighbor!

But honestly, I dunno if I could ever just...settle down and live a normal life now. You know what I mean? Like...things've changed so much since I started traveling, that I...don't even know who I'd be if things went back to the way they were before.
